Unity Peak from the Northeast # 11739

Below is a description of the photograph you were looking for, and the circumstances surrounding the photo.
Date: 2008.08.22
Vantage Point: Ridgeline of Brachiopod Mountain

Caption: Meadows that drain in Redoubt Creek fill the area northeast of Unity Peak.

PhotoDescr: Unity Peak is the peak just beyond the ridge at the head of the meadows; it is about the same height as peak on the ridgeline. In the distance are the mountains of the Continental Divide on the far side of the Bow Valley. Mount Victoria is on the skyline (and in the clouds) to the right of Unity.

On the left edge of the photo, the Baker Creek valley leads down to the Bow Valley.

The south end of Heather Ridge is the nearer ridge on the right side of the photo.

There are no maintained trails into this area, but an old trail leads to the end of Redoubt Lake, on the other side of Heather Ridge, from the east end of Ptarmigan Lake.
