Akamina Ridge Panorama # 11704

Below is a description of the photograph you were looking for, and the circumstances surrounding the photo.
Date: 2008.08.02

Caption: Most of Akamina Ridge as seen from the access point

PhotoDescr: I didn't really intend to combine these two shots into a panorama when I took them, and, unlike my compact zoom camera, my DSLR does not offer a stitch-assist function. Close observers will notice artifacting along the stitch line, but I believe this sweeping view is worth sharing for its completeness.

When you follow what is now the standard route on Akamina Ridge, accessing the ridgeline proper from the subsidiary ridge between Forum and Wall Lakes, what is shown here is the complete length of Akamina Ridge that you will follow, unless you backtrack to Forum Peak (behind the viewer).

The highest point on the ridge is the one in the center of the picture, with the edge of Bennett Pass at the far right.
