The Walls of Adamant # 11587

Below is a description of the photograph you were looking for, and the circumstances surrounding the photo.
Date: 2008.07.16
Vantage Point: Belvedere Peak

Caption: The impressive south side of the Adamant Massif

PhotoDescr: The 2008 KMC Climbing Camp was at Adamant Meadows. A day when there was still too many freshies on the rock, we did the walk to Belvedere and were rewarded with fine views.

The south side of Adamant is an impressive place with sheer rock walls of clean granite towering 800 m above the Austerity Glacier. The routes along this wall sport grades along the lines of 5.11 A3.

The nipple on the far right is Adamant, the large buttress/tower in the middle is Turret, the next peak is Austerity, and the little blip on the left is the top of Ironman.
