PhotoDescr: I had some unexpected vacation time in late April and decided to get some scrambling in around David Thompson Country. I followed the directions from The David Thompson Highway: A Hiking Guide for Coral Ridge. I diverged from the approach route near Coral Ridge to head up the south peak of Mount Stelfox. After some interesting scrambling along the ridge, I reached the top and was treated to a beautiful panorama. The snow was shallow or blown bare in most places above treeline, although the forest had some sections that made me wish I had brought my snowshoes with me. On the way down I had some extra time and decided to ascend Coral Ridge.
