Mount Chester - View NW # 1093

Below is a description of the photograph you were looking for, and the circumstances surrounding the photo.
Date: 2000/10
Vantage Point: From the summit of Mt. Chester

Caption: Shows the view NW from the summit of Mt. Chester. Prominent mountains from the left include: Mt. Birdwood, Mt. Smuts, Mt. Eon, Mt. Aye, and Mt. Assiniboine. Mt. Shark can be picked out between Aye and Assiniboine on the same ridge line west of Smuts. Also, at the far left of the picture just along the skyline left of Mt. Birdwood you can just see way off in the distance Mt. Farnham and the Farnham Tower. The Purcell Mountains are quite visible from this part of the Kananaskis.

PhotoDescr: Took this picture the second time I scrambled up Mt. Chester. The first time was way back in Aug 1994 on a cloudy day that had some snow falling on the upper mountain. I had some pictures from that day, but none worth seeing. This day was great however, warm and sunny. Although a great scramble, will not see the summit a third time. I have been up too many mountians more than once for some reason!
