Garibaldi - East Face Route # 10315

Below is a description of the photograph you were looking for, and the circumstances surrounding the photo.
Date: 2007.09.09
Vantage Point: From the "bivouac" campsite as described in the Elfin Lakes approach in Alpine Select (high shoulder of east spur of Atwell)

Caption: Mount Garibaldi East Face route. Garibaldi is the rightmost tower.

PhotoDescr: The photo was taken from camp high on the glacier below the east spur of Atwell, as described as a good place to bivy in Alpine Select. 3 VOCers (Bram Van Straaten, Lara Thompson and Ben Singleton-Polster) can be see climbing up the East Face early in the morning. To give an idea the scale of the face, they are roped up with a 60 metre rope (the face is probably about 150 metres in height). Seven of us made it up the face to Dalton Dome, and three to the summit of Garibaldi.
