Ox-eye Daisy at Kinney Lake # 10208

Below is a description of the photograph you were looking for, and the circumstances surrounding the photo.
Date: 2007.08.21
Vantage Point: From picnic area by Kinney Lake

Caption: Raindrops dapple this member of the daisy family.

PhotoDescr: The ox-eye daisy (Chrysanthemum leucanthemum) is actually an invasive plant, native to Europe, but now common in North America, even as far into the backcountry as Kinney Lake.

As ever, this could be some other similar flower, but it looks identical to pictures of the ox-eye daisy in my reference materials.

It was a typically cloudy and occasionally rainy day in the shadow of Mount Robson when my daughter and I walked into Kinney Lake. I took advantage of the macro features of my camera to take this closeup.
