Noseeum Peak from Molar Pass Trail # 10207

Below is a description of the photograph you were looking for, and the circumstances surrounding the photo.
Date: 2007.08.05
Vantage Point: From Molar Pass trail

Caption: Noseeum rises steeply on the Molar Pass side.

PhotoDescr: The massif encircled by the Bow River, Mosquito Creek, Molar Creek and the Pipestone River has three named summits: from south to north and highest to lowest, Mount Hector, Mount Andromache, and Noseeum Peak. Only Hector is officially named. Nonetheless, Noseeum and Andromache have been called by those names for decades.

The usual access to the rarely climbed Noseeum is from the Bow Valley side; this photo shows the opposite side.

A group of five from the Grant MacEwan Mountain Club reached this vantage point while hiking the Molar Pass trail on the Sunday of the August Long Weekend.
