Vice President from Burgess Pass # 10121

Below is a description of the photograph you were looking for, and the circumstances surrounding the photo.
Date: 2007.08.04
Vantage Point: From Burgess Pass/Wapta Highline Trail

Caption: The south side of Vice President, with the President concealed behind it on the left, and a bit of Wapta Mountain on the right

PhotoDescr: This picture was taken from near Burgess Pass, the low point between Mount Burgess and Mount Field. The Burgess Pass Trail, from the Trans-Canada Highway near Field to Emerald Lake, actually is located higher up the east shoulder of Mount Burgess; the Wapta Highline trail runs over the true low point.

A group of five from the Grant MacEwan Mountain Club reached this point while hiking the Emerald Triangle, a 20-km jaunt from Emerald Lake to Yoho Pass (sidetrip to Yoho Lake) to Burgess Pass and back to Emerald Lake on the Saturday of the August Long Weekend.
