Jonas Shoulder and Poboktan Mountain # 10066

Below is a description of the photograph you were looking for, and the circumstances surrounding the photo.
Date: 2007.07.21
Vantage Point: From Jonas Pass Trail

Caption: Poboktan Mountain shows through a hole in the clouds above Jonas Shoulder.

PhotoDescr: The Jonas Pass Trail passes over the ridge in the centre of this photo at a point called the Jonas Shoulder. The ridge itself is unnamed.

This peek is all we saw of a peak on the other side of the ridge. It's about where Poboktan Mountain should be, but it's hard to tell what it looks like.

The photo was taken at the furthest point reached on a three-day backpack/dayhike club trip by three members of the Grant MacEwan Mountain Club. The photo shows the biggest patch of blue sky we saw on a day with a lot of wind-driven (but light) rain.
