”Cowboy Couloir” and Southeast Ridge of Queant Mountain # 10009

Below is a description of the photograph you were looking for, and the circumstances surrounding the photo.
Date: 2007.07.05
Vantage Point: From South Rice Glacier

Caption: Approaching the Cowboy Couloir from the south, with the SE Ridge on the right.

PhotoDescr: As part of the Alpine Club's GMC, we struck out for the "Cowboy Couloir." The Couloir having a scary cornice atop it, we decided to ascend the SE Ridge, trying to stick to the left side as much as possible. Enjoyable summer climb on darn good rock; quartzite near the top. Nine pitches, moderate fifth class.
