This pass is located 7 km SW of Tatla Lake, on the Bella Coola highway. Suds Pass is named after a small lake called Suds Lake which is 1 km NE of the pass. As such, it links the Homathko Icefield to the Waddington Icefield.

Drainages: From this pass, the Chilcotin flows north and Mosley Creek (Homathko) flows south.

Detail: The exact location of the pass is tricky, because of numerous small hills. The contour lines go/b> all over the place. However, the terrain indisputably starts rising above 3200' toward Waddington 2 km west of Patterson Lake, and starts rising toward Queen Bess 2 km SE of Suds Lake. So somewhere between is the pass. Its exact location appears to be 2 km SW of Suds Lake. (1.8 km E of Little Sapeye lk, and 3.4km SW of Patterson Lk).

The exact drainages of the pass are a small stream draining NE into Suds Lake, and from there Suds goes into Patterson Lake. (It does not actually drain, it is a sink, but the potential watercourse goes to Patterson Lake.) In the other direction, there is a small creek draining into Waterlily Lake and on down Mosley Creek.
