This pass is located in the southern Selkirk mountains, southeast of Revelstoke BC. It connects the Lardeau (Kootenay) river with Beaton (Columbia) River. As such, it links Mount Cooper and the Goat Range to the rest of the Selkirks. On a map, the pass is in a swamp 2 km east of Staubert Lake. To the east of the pass, Wilkie and Glenn creeks drain east into Trout Lake, while Beaton Creek drains westward. FtrHistory: Trout Lake City has a colourful mining and resort past which will be elaborated upon here in future.
