Palliser Pass, on the Continental Divide, separates the Spray River drainage from the Palliser River drainage. It is at the far south end of Banff National Park and the north end of Height of the Rockies Provincial Park in British Columbia. The pass is crossed by the Palliser Pass Trail, an extension of the Spray River Trail that is also accessible from Spray Pass and Burstall Pass. FtrHistory: The pass is named after the Palliser River, which honours Captain John Palliser of the Palliser Expedition, although he never visited the pass.
