(Alta Lake Pass, Green-Cheakamus Pass) Tokum Corners is the actual saddle point in Whistler between Alta Lake (Green River) which flows north, and Nita Lake (Cheakamus R) which flows south. The "summit" is the marshland at the south end of Alta Lake, where a concrete waterpipe serves as an unofficial footbridge from Whistler's "west side". The summit elevation is so close to that of Alta Lake that the lake elevation has only had 1m added onto it for summit-defining purposes. Nita Lake is a good 30' lower (Nita Lake 636m, Alta Lake 642m); "Tokum" here is made fun of for obvious reasons, but from what it's an old name and may actually a variant of the Chinook Jargon word for "six" (Taghum), meaning six miles from somewhere (probably Parkhurst, the old mill on Green Lake).
