Snoqualmie Pass is a major pass east of Seattle by which Interstate 90 crosses the Washington Cascades. It separates the Cedar River drainage to the west from the Yakima River to the east that flows into the Columbia River. Snoqualmie Pass is the prominence saddle between Glacier Peak and the higher Mount Rainier. The Burlington Northern rail line crosses the divide via a tunnel to the S of the pass and interstate.
