Sessel from the North
Located on the north side of the Boomerang Glacier. From the glacier, ascend the south side of the mountain to its summit, an 800 m high scree slog. The north face of the mountain is reputed to be a decent glacier climb/ski. The summit elevation was measured 2001.08.05 with a hand held GPS receiver and found to be 2756 m; the BC Basemap elevation is given as 2746m.

Name Notes: Adopted 23 January 1979 on 92J/11, as submitted by mountaineer Karl Ricker. So-named because of the "armchair" shape of the mountain, sessel being the German word for armchair. Source: GeoBC.
