|Located on the E side of Abraham Lake where it bends from S to NE. Although this peak is physically separated from the Ram Range by unnamed drainages it can be classified as an outlier at the N end of the Ram Range. On the map it is a huge mountain which reaches the 8200 foot contour line, it does not have an official survey and has many small subpeaks.|
Name Notes: Named in 1979 after Hon. Daniel Roland Michener who was the Governor General of Canada from 1967 until 1974. Not a bad achievment for an Alberta local who was born in Lacombe and raised in Red Deer.
On Canada Day in 1982 with guide Lloyd Gallagher and Bruno Engler Michener climbed the mountain named in his honour.
