This peak is #43 in Prominence List for Alaska .The highest summit on Great Sitkin Island, which is part of the Aleutian Islands. It's an active stratovolcano whose last eruption was in March 1987. Access is from the village of Sand Bay on the south side of the island. From the village, hike over Triple Divide Peak to pass south of the Great Sitkin Volcano. Ascend the easy south side to reach the summit.
