Located in the Elk Range, just west of Highwood pass. This is a rocky peak, without any glaciers. The east ridge features a stone arch visible from Highway 40 just north of Highwood Pass.

Name Notes: The mountain is named after Sir R. Y. Tyrwhitt, leader of the British destroyer flotillas during the First World War.
