This peak is #54 in Prominence List for Alaska .Located on the southern edge of the Wrangell mountains, 80 km south of the Chitina River. Mount Miller is a huge and prominent peak, looking like a minature Mount Saint Elias from the Bagley Icefield to the north. The difficult 5.5 km long west ridge was the first route climbed on Mount Miller. The approach was from the Bagley Icefield. Second ascent was in 2003 by Mike Lynch and Bob Kingsley.
