This peak is #7 on the Height List for Alaska . This peak is #24 in Prominence List for Alaska .Mount Bona is the highest peak in Wrangell-Saint Elias Park. It's a rugged and massively glaciated mountain. The east ridge via the Bona-Churchill col is the standard route, a technically easy climb.

Name Notes: Named in 1897 by Prince Luigi Amedeo, Duke of the Abruzzi, who saw the peak during the first ascent of Mount Saint Elias. He named it after his racing yacht, the Bona.
