Crown Mountain is a high rocky summit at head of Crowned Creek with excellent views to west. It has at least 5 square km above treeline with a small lake.

Name Notes: Don't confuse this with the Crown mountain near vancouver. This one is in Strathcona Park. It was the first survey point of the survey party. They were impressed enough with the views westward to choose the high mountainous core of the Island as the most suitable site.
