The Flames is part of the Fire Spires, located on the north side of the Terrarosa Glacier near the head of the Stave River. It's a steep, triple-summited rock peak with the western summit being the highest. Access is via logging roads that run up North Sloquet Creek. From the end of the road, overcome a headwall and continue to a pass at the head of North Sloquet Creek. Gain the ridge to the west and follow this ridge north to the Terrarosa Glacier. Cross the glacier and go over Pyrotechnic Pass to the west side of this peak. Scramble up the easy west slope to reach the west summit.
