Located about 3.5 Km south of Portal Peak on the Klite-Filer divide this summit is a horn with moderately sloped SW side and steep walls on the N and E with a sharp, narrow ridge running N to Portal Peak. It was climbed in the 1980's by John Clarke and John Baldwin who were attempting to traverse the divide. They judged the continuing ridge to Portal Peak as looking too technical for them and turned back at this point. The narrow ridge is wild alpine granite dropping over 1000m on both sides.
