Located in the Pitt River drainage on the west end of the Stave Glacier. The nearest access is via logging roads in the Pitt River drainage. Use a road that climbs up the north of Shale Creek to reach the southwest ridge of Skakala Peak. Bushwack north to reach a lake south of the summit. Curl clockwise around the base of this peak to the east ridge and follow it up a glacier to the north side of the summit. Walk to the top.
