This interesting geological feature is a small, extinct crater on the northwest side of the Helm Glacier in Garibaldi Provincial Park. It's surrounded by cinder flats. Occasionally a portion of the slope erodes rapidly during spring washing more cinders into the Valley of Desolation. Access is via the Helm Creek Trail. The summit is a hike from all directions. There are actually some short slopes on the northern aspect, which provide for a few turns in winter.
