Anif Peak - Final Summit Ridge
Anif Peak lies south of the official Mount Mulligan on the same ridge. It is considerably higher and more alpine than Mulligan. Anif is separated from Mulligan by a col which can be reached via a steep climb from the creek to the west. On the 1:50K map, Anif is the unlabelled peak shown as green trees right to the top. However the map is deceiving - the last 100m of Anif is a spectacular steep open peak. An easy ski ascent of Anif depends on soft snow, and sufficient snow to cover the alders on the approach road. The summit of Anif is is an easy scramble from the col at the north.

Name Notes: Name refers to a small village in Salzberg county, Austria, hometown of Bivouacer Klaus Haring and a frequent visitor to this peak.

1. Via Mamquam 6.8 km spur Steep final slope. Slowly drive up very steep spur road till stopped by snow (550m). Then continue up road on skis. Stay right on the road to the point where it ends at a steep slope climbing to the col between Mulligan and Anif. Switchback up the very steep slope, staying to left. Upon reaching the col, start out by ascending an easy glade in trees somewhat below the ridge. Eventually you must swing out onto the crest of the ridge, and ascent 2 steep bumps. Ice axe required if snow surface frozen.
