A small peak in the Rocky Mountain Foothills in Kananaskis Country. It is located south of the head of McLean Creek, northeast of the head of Muskeg Creek, and forms the west end of a small cluster of grass and tree covered mountains. Being part of the McLean Creek Off-Highway Vehicle Forest Land Use zone, the peak is surrounded by off road vehicle trails. A large area was expropriated for this zone as early gas and oil exploration carved out seismic lines and access trails which gave way to off road vehicles. Fortunately all area to the south and west is protected in the Kananaskis Country.

Name Notes: Named in 1949 after John Quirk who was one of the earlier ranchers in the area.
