Mount Remus is located north of Little Elbow Creek, south of Shoulder Creek, and north/northeast of Mount Romulus. From most angles the upper portion of the mountain has a tower like appearance with a large summit block. It can be scrambled on the east aspect with the option of a difficult finish up a chimney on the summit block, or an easy finish up the north slopes. For more information on ascending this peak consult Alan Kane's Scrambles in the Canadian Rockies (see guidebooks).

Name Notes: It was named in 1940 after Remus, who along with his twin brother Romulus were the legendary founders of Rome.
