This peak is #20 on the Height List for Newfoundland and Labrador .A rugged pyramid north of Mount Caubvick on the divide between the Palmer River and McCornick River. Access is by boat to the head of Tallek Arm and the mouth of the Palmer River. Hike up the river and then head east up the first branch valley. Follow the branch valley to a small lake at its head and then a col at the crest of the divide. This point can also be reached by pulling ashore at Ivitak Cove and the mouth of the McCornick River, following the river upstream, and then heading west up a branch valley. From col, head north along the divide and then northeast to gain the col northwest of the summit. Climb the northwest face to the summit. This involves climbing through a rock band that is rated as low Class 5.
