The South Face of Mount Ida
This peak is #93 in Prominence List for British Columbia .Located northwest of Jasper and the Willmore Wilderness Park, and east of Prince George, in the Kakwa Recreation Area. This is one of the most stunning peaks in all of the Rocky Mountains. Looking up at Mt. Ida from The Jarvis Lakes reveals an almost perfect pyramid shaped peak with hanging glacier, swept faces and icy ridges. Mt Ida is the N most peak in the Rocky Mountain Chain over 10000'. It is certainly a grand finale!!

Name Notes: Described and named by Jarvis in 1875, was not climbed until the 1950's when members of the Harvard Mountaineering Club reached its summit.
