Kaza Mountain from Bowron Lake
This peak is #81 in Prominence List for British Columbia .Kaza Mountain is located in the area of the Bowron Lakes canoe circuit, just NNE of the confluence of the Cariboo and Matthew Rivers; it is one of the summits of Needle Point Ridge, which lies along the north side of Lanezi Lake, the upstream extension of Sandy Lake. It is also the highest summit of the ranges within the quadrangle of the Bowron Lakes circuit. Due to its prominence, Kaza is a significant peak, #84 in the list of the top 100 prominent peaks of British Columbia.

The terrain around Kaza is mostly rocky ridges, with no alpine lakes or meadows. There is a small icefield on the north slopes. Its north ridge extends for 5 km. Access is probably best as part of the Bowron Lakes circuit. Kaza is only 3 km north of Lanezi Lake, which is on the southern boundary of the circuit.
