A forested peak located on the north side of the Fraser Valley, and on the east side of Hatzic Prarie. Dewdney Peak is the most southerly prominence on Hatzic Ridge, which runs north as far as Cascade Falls Regional Park. Fresh logging of the summit area means you can drive directly to the flat-topped summit via roads that start at Norrish Creek or run along Pattison Creek. If you like views of massive clearcuts that is. Still, because the summit is well above Sumas Mountain and the Mission area, views from the summit across the Fraser to Baker and Cheam and west over the Mission-Maple Ridge uplands and north into the upper Stave are impressive. The steep western slopes of this ridge are a good hunting ground for pine mushrooms.
