A forested double summit located on Louise Island, 3 km east of Louise Narrows. The name of the mountain comes from the Kermode Bear, a unique subspecies of Black Bear with white fur that lives in certain areas along the north coast of British Columbia. The Kermode Bear in turn is named after Francis Kermode, who conducted the first studies into the origins of the white bear one hundred years ago
