Located 6.5 km north of Mount Alberta. The normal route goes along the west face via an approach from Lynx Creek.

Name Notes: Named in 1952 by J. Monroe Thorington after Nelson who was a mountaineer that was killed while climbing in the Bugaboos with a fellow name Rice. Both were American.
