Montana Mountain is located just south of the town of Carcross in the Yukon Territory. As well as its main peak, the mountain includes many sub-peaks. The mountain can be accessed very easily by following an old mining road until it becomes impassable. From there easy walking will gain you access to the alpine country and a moderate hike to the summit. The mountain also features a small glacier on its north side. The small tarn fed by the glacier is drained by "Big Thing Creek".
