Mount Kerkeslin and SE5 (Windy Castle)
Mount Kerkeslin towers above the Athabasca River, south of Jasper, and is the highest peak in the Maligne Range. It is at the end of a long ridge projecting northwest from the rest of the Maligne Range, it is very impressive both from the Icefields Parkway, and also from the east side. It is located at the S end of the Maligne Range on the E side of the Athabasca River.

Name Notes: Named by James Hector in 1859 on the Palliser expedition, but no record was kept as to the source of the name.
