This peak is #50 in Prominence List for British Columbia .Thudaka Peak is the highest point in the Cassiar Mountains, and also the highest on the Stikine-Peace divide as well as the highest south of the Stikine and east of the Skeena etc. Also, most of the area north of the Stikine and west of the Rocky Mountain Trench resolves to Thudaka as higher ground (prominence-wise), including peaks in the shadow of the Alaska Boundary Ranges of the Coast Range.

The peak is only about 15 km east of the Frog River, which forms the boundary of the huge Thudaka region. The peak itself has small icefields (glaciers) on its north slopes, but generally the area is quite dry.
