Mount Turner is a rugged, glaciated peak on the Alaska-BC border northeast of Mount Fairweather. It's a highpoint on the divide that separates the Ferris Glacier from the Margeries Glacier. Access is by boat along Glacier Bay to the head of Tarr Inlet. Follow the Grand Pacific and Ferris glaciers to a point northeast of the base of this mountain. Ascend a heavily crevassed glacier tongue and continue up along a major glacier to a broad col just east of the summit. Climb the east face to the top.
