This peak is #47 in Prominence List for Alaska . This peak is #54 in Prominence List for British Columbia .Located on the eastern edge of the Juneau Icefield southwest of Atlin Lake it is located along the international border. It is a granite massif which has several peaks along its rim, and Glaciers fall off the peak in all directions. The north slopes feed into Tulsequah lake and the Tulsequah Glacier, and the south slopes forms the head of "Hades Highway", which is the eastern extremity of the icefield.

 In 1977 CAJ, there is a first ascent of the South Couloir by Fred Becky.
