Samson Peak
Located just east of Samson Narrows, on Maligne Lake. A rocky and fairly regular peak, with no glaciers.

Name Notes: This peak was named by Mary Schaffer in her expedition through the area in 1908, to discover Maligne Lake. Samson Beaver was an Indian who befriended Mary Schaffer and provided her with the map to find her way to Maligne Lake. He was the son of Job Beaver. Job was named after the book of Job in the Bible, and his son Samson named after the Biblical name. This gives evidence of the effect of missionaries at the time.
