Trident Volcano
An active stratovolcano complex just east of Mount Katmai in Katmai National Park. The last erutption was in February 1953. The complex contains about four summits lined up generally east-west. Access is via the ranger station at Brooks Camp. Hike southwest along the gravel road to Wild Creek Overlook, and continue south along Valley of Ten Thousand Smokes and then to the head of Knife Creek. Ascend the westernmost branch of the Knife Creek Glacier to a col northeast of the summit. Follow the northeast ridge to the top.
