This peak is #93 in Prominence List for Alaska .The highest point on Akutan Island, which is part of the Aleutian Island chain. It's a huge volcanic rim with a glacier-filled crater and cone inside the crater. Access is by boat from Dutch Harbor on Unalaska Island to the southwest. The nearest access point is a the coast line to the west, between Reef Bight and Lava Bight. Hike eastward to reach the summit. Some glacier travel is required.
