From a base camp on the Cathedral Glacier, the summit can be reached via the mountain's gentle east ridge.

Name Notes: Named after Gardiner Greene Hubbard, the first president of the National Geographic. The Hubbard Medal is for distinction in exploration, discovery and research. It has been awarded 33 times in the past including Robert Perry 1906, Roald Amundsen 1907, Shackelton 1910, Neil Armstrong (1970).
