Mount Monashee
This peak is #10 in Prominence List for British Columbia .Located east of the Moonbeam-Serpentine divide, and west of the head of Howard Creek. In the past, this summit was mapped as being over 3300m because persistent cloud cover during aerial photography made determining the height difficult.

Name Notes: Originally this peak was mapped as Peak 18 by the Zillmer party. It was then known to climbers and listed in guidebooks as Mount Monashee. This name became official, and was geographically correct name because it is the highest in the entire Monashee mountains. However, the name appears to have disappeared from the official name lists, perhaps because of a lower (and geographically insignificant) "Monashee Mountain" located further south. Mount Odin is the highest peak in the southern Monashees. For purposes of this encyclopedia, we continue to refer to it as Mount Monashee.
