This peak is #13 in Prominence List for Yukon Territory .Mount Porsild is the highest mountain in the northernmost Coast Mountains. This area is a triangular surface bounded by Haines Road, the South Klondike Highway, and the Alaska Higway. The summit is pyramidical in shape with a large mellow alpine area to the north. The only logical approach is to use a boat to reach the east side Kusawa Lake near its southern end. From here follow a canyon to the northeast side of the mountain.
