This peak is #49 in Prominence List for British Columbia .Conrad Kain, one of the best known and most accomplished of the Swiss guides who pioneered many climbs in the Canadian Rockies, made an unusual (for him) solo first ascent of Whitehorn while guiding an ACC reconnaissance of the Mount Robson area in 1911, to the disgruntlement of Arthur Wheeler, the party leader.
