This peak is #83 in Prominence List for British Columbia .Mount Cronin is located in the center of the Babine Mountains provincial Recreation area. The peak has some fairly large glaciers on its north and eastern flanks (more than 1 square km).

Name Notes: Cronin was named after James Cronin, who obtained the mining claim in 1909 and carried out extensive underground exploration until 1911. The mine was then owned by Babine Bonanza Metals until 1931. Operations were restarted in 1948, and a 50 ton per day mill was installed. 3000 tons of ore containing silver and other minerals were shipped out until 1952. In 1956 a further 10,000 tons were shipped out. Then in 1972 Hallmark resources continued mining.
