This peak is #46 on the Height List for Alberta . This peak is #76 on the Height List for British Columbia .Mount Freshfield is the large and spectacular snow pyramid which dominates the horizon when one approaches the Freshfields via Freshfield Creek, just below the tongue of the Freshfield Glacier. It is surpassed in height in the Freshfields area only by Mount Barnard. The whole ridge is known as the Barnard Dent Group.
Name Notes: Named in 1897 by J. Norman Collie in 1897 after Douglas Freshfield who was a British climber and president of the Royal Geographic Society.
